=         Personal items such as cell phones, purses, coats, cameras, etc. may not be carried during the processional. There will be no place to secure these items.

Dress Code:

Men should wear dark or khaki pants, a neatly-pressed, long-sleeve dress shirt with a tie, dark socks, and dress shoes under the gown.  Ladies should wear a dress, skirt, or dress slacks, with a blouse and dress shoes under the gown.  Shorts, jeans, athletic shoes, and flip flops are not to be worn.  You will be climbing stairs, so please wear shoes that you can walk in comfortably and safely. If you need help with graduation clothing, please contact Kim Nix in Student Services.

Caps, tassels, and gowns must be worn in a tasteful manner.  Gowns should be completely zipped during the entire ceremony.  Do not mark on the top of the graduation hats or change your cap and gown in any way.  Honor Cords awarded during your time at Tom P. Haney Technical College should be worn for Graduation.

Graduation FYI’s:

Steam or gently iron your gown!  It will be very wrinkled from packing.

Graduates will be given a copy of the Graduation program as you exit the auditorium after the ceremony.

The diploma covers with Haney’s new college name have not arrived, so you will receive one that says Tom P. Haney Technical Center when you walk the stage.  Check with the school in August to pick up your Tom P. Haney Technical College diploma cover. You do not have to return the one you get at Graduation.
