This program is designed to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of electrical construction industries.

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of four (4) occupational completion points (OCPs).

Additional Information

Electrical Trades encompasses two programs: Electricity and Electrician. Both are designed to prepare students for employment or advancement in a variety of construction and maintenance electrical industries. Supplemental training is provided for persons currently or previously employed in electrical and related occupations.

These programs include the layout, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical wiring and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industry. Print interpretation, building and wiring codes, specifications and material capacities and limitations, as well as testing and repair of circuits, conduit installation, power panels, motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, PLC’s, electronic circuits and devices and safety equipment are also included in the curriculum.
