The purpose of the GED Comprehensive Program is to prepare students to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Official GED Tests and be awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma and also be simultaneously earning credentials in a CTE approved program. The program prepares students in four content-area assessments: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies.

GED Board Policy – Testing Age
ADMINISTRATION OF GENERAL EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT (GED) TEST 8.204. Administration of the General Education Development Test shall be in compliance with § 1003.435, Fla. Stat., Fla. Admin. Code R. 6A-6.021, and conditions outlined in the contract with the Florida Department of Education.
Candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of GED examination.
Candidates between the ages of 16 and 18 may be eligible to take the GED examination if they meet the special requirements listed below or are enrolled in the GED Exit Option Program.
