The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) has proven to be a reliable admissions tool to predict future health science academic success. You are strongly encouraged to take the TEAS as early as possible. The TEAS exam was developed based upon the 9-12 grade science, reading, math and English language usage standards identified as important for students to possess upon entry into a health science program. This is a computer-based test comprised of 170 questions divided into four (4) core areas: reading, math, science and English. The total time allotted to complete the test is 209 minutes.

In preparation for the TEAS, you may want to use the ATI TEAS study manual and practice tests available here.

You may take the TEAS up to three times per year but must wait a minimum of 14 days between tests. TEAS scores are valid for one (1) year from their test date.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) test is scheduled by appointment only. All airmen will be required to establish an FAA Tracking Number (FTN) within the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) system before taking any FAA airman knowledge test. This identification number will be printed on the applicant’s Airman Knowledge Test Report (AKTR) in replacement of the Applicant ID number. The FTN is an 8-digit unique and permanent number assigned to each FAA certificate holder. The assignment of this number has historically happened upon establishing an account in IACRA or generated once a paper application is received by the FAA Airmen Registry.

To obtain an FTN in IACRA, applicants will need to register: Here

If you already have an FAA certificate then you already have an FTN. To find your FTN you can log into IACRA and locate it in the top left corner of the applicant console under “User Information."  Link here

Upon establishing an FTN in IACRA the candidate will then need to visit the PSI True Talent Online Scheduling page to create an account using their individual FTN number to schedule and pay for all FAA AKT exams. Link here
